Dead of Summer
The penultimate episode found Jessie, Garrett and Alex attempting to exorcise Malphas from Amy’s body. They failed, and by season’s end, Deb and Garrett both met bloody ends thanks to the Amy/Malphas hybrid. Though Garrett’s spirit eventually helped the survivors vanquish the demon, the stage was set for a second supernaturally scary season. “The approach of this series is that each series would be a different summer at the camp in a different era,” executive producer Adam Horowitz tells TVLine. “Very inspired by Fargo,” the show would’ve taken a page out of that anthology’s book. “Season 2 would be 1970, the summer Deb was a counselor… and there could potentially be a Season 3 set in 2004, where one of these kids is now the director,” teases EP Eddy Kitsis.
