Happyland

This quirky, amusement park-set dramedy centered around Ian and Lucy, two characters who spent an entire season fighting off their romantic impulses… because they thought they were brother and sister. When they discovered they were not related, they ended the season with a long-awaited (by some) kiss, which would have caused plenty of drama in a potential second season. “It’ll give us an opportunity to see sides of these characters we’ve never seen before,” series creator Ben Epstein told TVLine prior to the show’s cancellation. “[Lucy’s boyfriend] Will has been frustrated with Lucy in the past, but she’s never betrayed him like this. It’ll be interesting to see how Lucy reacts to having hurt him in front of everybody else.” A second season would also have explored the possibility of Ian and Lucy’s parents attempting to go public with their relationship.
