In other developments, Jane and Billy would (finally!) share a kiss, Ben would propose to Rita, and India and Jeremy would pursue a relationship despite their professional rivalry. Additionally, Teri Hatcher — who recurred in Season 1 as Jane’s mom — was contracted to direct a Season 2 episode.
