Prodigal Son

Though the Fox thriller’s sophomore run ended with Bright stabbing his father in the gut, Martin Whitly presumably would have survived his injuries if the show had come back. “Our plan was to include Michael Sheen in Season 3, so that gives you a little bit of insight into where we were going,” series co-creator Chris Fedak told TVLine, while co-creator Sam Sklaver added they were “very interested” in keeping Martin out of Claremont Psychiatric for the foreseeable future. And though the EPs didn’t share much more of their Season 3 plans, in hopes that the show would find a new home, Sklaver conceded that “Bright stabbing Martin at the end wasn’t going to make anyone’s life easier… Bright and Dani just kissed, but they’re not going to be able to get past this. Gil and Jessica are in a good place. There’s so many places that we could jump off from the ending of this season, and that’s what’s so exciting for us.”
