But if Samson wasn’t a wayward asteroid, what was it? “Sampson is a spaceship,” Hawaii Five-0‘s Ian Anthony Dale, who played Harris, tells TVLine, “and Season 3 was going to be very much like [the 2016 sci-fi movie] Arrival.” With Jennifer Finnigan channeling Amy Adams, “it was going to pivot and turn into a completely different show that dealt with how we make contact,” Dale shares. “There was such wonderful potential and possibilities for Season 3, but we didn’t get a chance to explore that.”
