When Under the Dome bade us farewell, there was no desire to shop the series to another platform. “I’m very happy with this ending. I feel very satisfied,” executive producer Neal Baer told TVLine. “We made it so there could be another [season]… but it wasn’t necessary.” So what might have happened to Barbie, Julia, Dawn and the rest of Chester’s Mill had the show survived to see another season? “They would have gone someplace else, and the dome would come down over another place,” Baer said, laughing. “But then it would be like, ‘Then what?’ Would we do the same thing again? It would have been a real challenge.”
